Take God Out Of The Box

Take God Out Of The Box

Matthew 13:53-58
53 Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, that He departed from there. 54 When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? 55 Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses,[h] Simon, and Judas? 56 And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?” 57 So they were offended at Him.
But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” 58 Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Many times as people we think of God in one way, when in fact He has so many sides to himself that we could not even count them nor comprehend them all. When we look at God with a limited view we hold/restrict His hands from being able to move in the way He would like too.

We create man-made standards, and call them God’s ways when they are not always His ways; they are what we think is best. Remember God did give us dominion over the earth; there is nothing wrong with that, but it is time to take God out of the box, and let Him lead our dominion, so we make the right choices. It is time for us to let God be God in all of His great, and mighty ways.

As a people we want everything now; we have to stop thinking that we know more than God. We have to trust His ways because our ways are not like His ways. In whatever way God wants to move we have to allow Him that freedom to move as He pleases; however, if we start placing boundary lines around God we will block our own blessings.

How long have some of us been waiting on the next move of God to take our lives to new levels? Could it be that our lack of movement has been the results of us telling God how to bless us? By not letting God be free we hold our own lives back from being fruitful.

Let us not be like those in the bible(Matthew 13:53-58) who could not see that their blessing(Jesus) was standing right there in front of them, and ready to bless their lives forever. They did not receive the blessing because they did not like who it was coming from. Take God out of the box!! You never know who or what He will use to bless the ones He loves.
